ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER (EEM) COURSE
The EEM Course conducted by COMLEK incorporates the four mandatory Core Competencies required by the Queensland Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations, Surface & Underground Coal Mines. EEM responsibilities under the Act and Regulations are also covered in the Course.

Impending Major Change to EEM Appointment
The D.E.E.D.I. (Department of .Employment, Economic Development & Innovation) .intends introducing an additional examination & assessment conducted by the Mines & Energy Board of Examiners, effective January 2012. This examination & assessment will be additional to the competencies tabulated above.
Where To From Here
In the event of an incident involving Electrical/EEHA, investigators will expect to see evidence of the competence of all persons involved with the installation and maintenance of the facility, including supervision. Completing training and assessment to the competency standards referred to in the Coal Mining Safety & Health Advisory Council Recommendations is a clear way of demonstrating competence and meeting this requirement.
